I just saw your comment on my blog post about getting started as a speaker (located at http://marketing-junkie.com/so_you_wanna_be_a_speaker/) and had to read yours. 

I love the story and your recommendation to start by hosting your own events is right on. That&#039;s a great way to prove yourself and, by following your other tips, to get the word out and create raving fans. 

Bad speaker&#039;s are a dime a dozen, so if you can offer helpful info in a way that&#039;s easy to understand (and maybe even a tad entertaining), it won&#039;t take long before you start landing all the speaking gigs you could want.
